It is that time again (or at least it was a few days prior) where I bore you with the books I have read this month and give one of them BOOK OF THE MONTH title!
We have said goodbye to September and hello to October! Where the bloody hell is this year going?!

This was a great introduction to a new author and enough to tempt me into getting the first book in the Paternus series.
THE FIRST SHADOW BY DECK MATTHEWS

This is the opening novella of Deck’s Riven Realm collection and boy is it good! An interesting world and great characters I can’t wait to read the rest!
THE HEART OF STONE BY BEN GALLEY

this is a great read, it is a solidly written fantasy with some dark fantasy feels too. It focuses on the charaters and their growing relationships while maintaining a dynamic and interesting plot.
FROZEN RAGE BY Steve McHugh
Book Type: Novella

This book is such an enjoyable read, I didn’t realise how much I wanted a fast paced whirlwind murder novella until I picked this book up.
THE MINDF*CK SERIES BY S. T. ABBEY

This is a series I have read a few times, it isn’t fantasy but a Dark Murder Romance…I think. It’s about a girl set on revenge and she falls for the guy hunting her. I needed an easy read and I love this book so

I think this book would be a good read for those just getting into fantasy or who don’t read it often but sometimes want an escape from their usual reading as it gives you all the things we love about fantasy just not in the detail a more seasoned fantasy reader would want.
